Concorde comes home for the last time
Concorde flew its last commercial services on October 24th 2003. Three aircraft landed at Heathrow within minutes of one another that afternoon, watched by a crowd on the terminal roof and by rather more people standing on the roundabouts of the Bath Road. One was in from New York, one from Edinburgh and one from a farewell loop over the Bay of Biscay. Air France had given up flying it in May.
