Until Then (“we”, “our”, “us”) is operated by Garrould Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales (company number 06486450, registered office High View, Church Road, Wreningham, Norwich, Norfolk, NR16 1BH). We respect your privacy and we are the data controller for the personal information you give us through this website. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what your rights are.
A short summary
- We do not run a login, an account system, a forum, or a shop. There is nothing on this site that requires you to create a password.
- We do not collect names, email addresses, postal addresses, payment details or phone numbers from visitors browsing the site.
- We do collect anonymous traffic statistics through Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console, so we know which calculators are popular and where the site can be improved.
- We display advertising through Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to personalise these ads. You can manage your ad preferences at any time using the consent banner that appears the first time you visit, or by visiting adssettings.google.com.
- If you email us, we keep that email so we can reply to you. We don’t add you to a mailing list, because we don’t have one.
What information we collect
Information you give us directly
If you contact us by email at hello@untilthen.co.uk we will receive your email address and whatever else you choose to put in your message. We use this information only to reply to you and to keep a short record of the correspondence in our normal email system. We don’t add you to any marketing list and we don’t pass your email address to third parties.
Information we collect automatically
When you visit Until Then, our hosting provider’s web server logs the request as part of normal site operation. These server logs typically include your IP address, the page you requested, the time of the request, the browser and operating system you are using, and the page you came from (the “referrer”). These logs are kept for a short period and are used for security, abuse prevention and debugging.
We also use the following analytics and advertising technologies:
- Google Analytics 4 — for anonymous traffic statistics. GA4 uses cookies to count visitors and track navigation, but does not record your name or email and IP addresses are anonymised before storage.
- Google Search Console — this collects no information from your browser. It tells us which Google search queries our pages appear for, in aggregate.
- Google AdSense — we run display ads through AdSense. Google may set cookies on your browser to serve ads, measure ad performance and (if you’ve consented) personalise ads. Google’s published privacy practices for advertising are at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
- Google Funding Choices (CMP) — this is the consent banner you’ll see on your first visit. It records your choices about advertising cookies and stores them in your browser so we don’t have to ask again.
- Google Site Kit and Tag Manager — we use these to load the analytics and advertising tags above in a way we can audit.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. We use a small number of cookies, set out below.
- Strictly necessary cookies are set by WordPress and our hosting provider to keep the site running and to remember choices like your consent preferences. These cookies don’t track you across sites.
- Analytics cookies are set by Google Analytics 4 if you allow them. They count visits and tell us which pages people read, in aggregate. You can decline these in the consent banner.
- Advertising cookies are set by Google AdSense and its measurement partners if you allow them. They are used to serve ads, prevent the same ad being shown too often, and (if you opt in) to personalise ads. You can decline these in the consent banner.
You can change your cookie choices at any time by clicking the “Manage cookie choices” link in the site footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser to bring the consent banner back.
Legal basis and how long we keep data
Where we process personal data, we rely on the following legal bases under UK GDPR:
- Your consent for analytics and advertising cookies, given through the consent banner.
- Our legitimate interests in keeping the site secure and in answering correspondence you’ve sent us. We balance these interests against your privacy and only process the minimum information needed.
- Legal obligation where we are required by UK law to keep records (for example, for tax purposes, where applicable).
Server logs are kept for a short period set by our hosting provider (typically 14 to 30 days). Email correspondence is kept for as long as we reasonably need it to follow up. Analytics data is retained according to the standard Google Analytics 4 retention setting.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate.
- Ask us to delete your information, where we have no overriding reason to keep it.
- Object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
- Withdraw your consent for analytics and advertising cookies at any time.

Children
Until Then is a general-audience website with no login and no community features. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of the page. Significant changes will be flagged on the homepage for a reasonable period.
